David Greeley, MD, FAAN
Dr. Greeley is a board-certified general neurologist and is accepting new patients at Northwest Neurological in all areas of neurology. However, beyond general neurology, he is also very active in research and development of new technologies as well as implementation of those products and procedures as they become FDA-approved; he was the first neurologist to use Botox® in the state of Washington, the first (along with neurosurgeon Dr. Jeff Hirschauer) to do Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) in the state of Washington, and now the first neurologist to bring Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) to Spokane. TMS has been FDA-approved for depression since 2008. Over 18,000 patients have been treated with 50 percent of patients improved significantly and 33 percent of patients free of depression following the course of therapy! TMS is a novel, non-drug therapy for one of the most debilitating disease states in the world.
He remains one of the most active injectors of botulinum toxin (Botox, Xeomin®, Myobloc®) in the Northwest helping patients with migraine, dystonia, dysphonia, cosmetic wrinkles, hyperhidrosis (sweating), drooling, spasticity and muscle pain. And he has been the principal investigator in over 60 clinical research studies, primarily focusing today on Alzheimer’s disease treatment and prevention (learn more at www.drg23.com).
