Northwest Neurological offers diagnosis for headache disorders and provides personalized treatment plans that may include preventive medications, acute therapies, and non-drug options such as lifestyle modification and stress management. We emphasize long-term management through regular follow-up, monitoring for medication overuse, and addressing comorbid conditions. During our comprehensive, patient-centered evaluations, we educate patients about triggers, red flags, and self-management strategies to reduce the impact of headaches on daily life.

Headache

A headache is pain or discomfort felt in the head, scalp, or neck that can range from mild pressure to severe, throbbing pain. Headaches can have many causes—such as tension, migraine, sinus congestion, or other neurological conditions—and may present with associated symptoms like nausea, light sensitivity, or visual changes.

Migraine

A migraine is a common neurological condition that causes moderate to severe, often throbbing head pain, typically on one side of the head and frequently made worse by movement or routine activity. In addition to head pain, migraine attacks often include nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light, sound, or smells, and may last from several hours to a few days.

Three heads--one facing forward, one facing to the left, and one facing backwards--have orange dots where botox is injected for migraine.

Dr. Greeley and his team specialize in treating migraine and other chronic headache syndromes.
